Committees- Employment

Employment Committee: was created as an Ad Hoc Committee of the Nebraska Statewide Independent Living Council (NESILC).  It was noted in one of our earlier meetings that there are several organizations that are dealing with various parts of employment.  Since NESILC looks at disability from a life span perspective that maybe we could form a committee to improve collaboration and get all of us closer to the goal of people with disabilities being employed in a real jobs for a real salary.

• So this committee was established and the first goal we determined was to create a website that listed all the resources for a person with a disability to search for a job.  NESILC offered & created a page on our website www.nesilc.org to host this website.  Currently we are working to gather these resources.
